Atopic dermatit is among children and teenagers in Vinnitsa region: incidence and clinical features

Abstract

Questionnaire-based study of 7784 enrolled participants aged from 3 to 27 years allowed us to define the mean incidence and clinical features of atopic dermatitis among children and teenagers in Vinnitsa Region (4532 children, 3252 teenagers). We confirmed atopic dermatitis in 466 participants (5,99%). Among all clinical forms of atopic dermatitis in children and teenagers were observed significant prevalence of erythematous-squamous form (42,8%), less significant incidence of dermatitis erythematous-squamous with lichenification (37,5%) form of atopic dermatitis was observed during the study, significantly smaller proportion (19.7%) makes lichenification form of atopic dermatitis. Among all participants, with no age dependence, enrolled into the study, we observed moderate (51,07%) severity of the disease, mild (31,3%) and severe (17,6%) forms of the disease appeared to be less frequent.
