Abstract

The evaluation of the antimicrobial activity of the glycopeptide cell wall of lactic acid bacteria - Liasten and its combination with hydrophilic ointment on the basis of "in vitro" showed that the Liastenum itself doesn't have expres ed antimicrobial activity. However, the use of certain doses of this medicine in combination with hydrophilic ointments greatly enhances the antimicrobial activity of the latter for all tested strains of microorganisms. These results suggest the use of such promising drug combinations in the topical treatment of purulent wounds.
