Abstract

The review of the literature was analyzed the status of the problem of osteoporosis as a medical and social problem, its causes, were shown the main etiological factors and presented the modern classification of this pathology. As a result of analysis of the literature revealed that one of the main causes of the disease, especially in young age, is the widespread use of glucocorticoids to treat a variety of pathological processes. A need for further study of the problem of glucocorticoid-inducing osteoporosis and development of methods of preventing hormone complication were shown basing on the analysis.
