Fractures of the proximal femur: modern medical and social problem and its solutions in Ukraine (literature review)

Abstract

The analysis of sources of domestic and foreign literature concerning the occurrence of factors structure, prevalence, health and social problems in patients with fractures of the proximal femur (FPF), are the main methods of surgical and conservative treatment and rehabilitation activities of the heavy patients. It was determined that the fractures of the proximal femur is a serious medical and social problem in the world and in our country. It remains uncertain completely differentiated approach, using different methods of surgical treatment of this category of patients, depending on the location of the resulting fracture, age and condition of the patient and others. At present, the overall rehabilitation program for patients has not been developed in Ukraine after FPF involving both physicians and psychologists and rehabilitators . Addressing these urgent challenges will improve the provision of qualified medical and social assistance to this category of patients is extremely complex and it is an urgent task facing scientists and practical traumatologist- orthopaedist of our state.
