Features of the course and results of treatment community-acquired pneumonia in patients wit hopiate addiction
Abstract
The article describes the peculiarities of community-acquired pneumonia in opiate addicted patients. The study found that severe disease caused by the presence in opiate addicted patients latent multiorgan disease due to use of homemade opium drugs which combined with intoxication syndrome due to the development of inflammation in the lungs, which in itself causes internal organs damage. It was found that pneumonia in these patients caused by highly virulent antibiotic-resistant microorganisms and fungi, which are sensitive to antiseptics. Treatment of community-acquired pneumonia by conventional methods has a low efficiency and is accompanied by destructive changes in the lungs, prolonged hospitalisation and high mortality.
