In this case, as the drugs of comparison, melatonin does not affect the average values of IOP in its applying to animals without ophthalmic pathology. The ability of melatonin to amortize decreasing of intraocular pressure, that is pathognomonic for eye injury, is one of the leading mechanisms of its neuroprotective activity that may be associated with existing vasoactive effect. The obtained data form the basis for differentiated neuroretinoprotective therapy and, depending on the pathology, allow to choose one or the other drug to a certain conditionally effective dose.</p>}, number={28}, journal={Biomedical and Biosocial Anthropology}, author={Komnatska, K.
