Abstract

This paper describes the historical aspect of the development of the theory of individual anatomical variability according to V. N. Shevkunenko, the main human somatotypes and ways of their formation are distinguished, the clinical and morphological significance of somatotyping and ways of further development of this teaching are indicated.
